4/23-4/26/18

We will be having ACT tests on 5/1/18.  SBAC testing will be on 5/7, 5/8, 5/14, and 5/15. Please make sure your child gets a good night's rest and a good breakfast. If you would like to provide a snack for the ACT Aspire test on 5/1/18, things like individual packages of crackers, apple slices, grapes, cheese sticks, and muffins are good choices.

Writing: We continue to practice our typing.  Last week, finished our final writing on Animal Helpers. This week, we will practice writing an opinion introduction. We will also be busy taking the ACT Aspire test.

Reading:  Last week we learned about poems, plays, and dramas. We also took a Latin/Greek test. There will not be spelling again until after ACT and SBAC testing is completed. Next week, we will review text structure.

Grammar: For the rest of the year, we will be reviewing all of the concepts we have learned this year. I will be reassessing any student that received a 1 or 2 on previous assessments.

Projects: Last week students formed partnerships, groups, or individual 'businesses.' They brainstormed possible products they would like to make. They also began planning their budgets. This week, the groups will begin making their products.

Homework: Read 20 minutes everyday.
