This last week, we finished up with all of our assessments for reading, writing, and grammar. In projects, we finished up our products and began preparing for the Market Day, in which the 1st and 2nd graders get to come 'buy' products from them.

Next week is our last week! This year has gone buy so quickly and I am going to miss getting to spend time with your child. I hope you all have a wonderful summer!

We will be finishing up our Memory Books next week. The students have had fun thinking over the last year's memories. I hope it will be something they can treasure.

Tuesday, students will have their Market day in the morning. Tuesday afternoon, students will be preforming their poems at our Poetry Slam at 2:30 in our classroom (room 6). Parents are invited to come and enjoy this event.

Wednesday we will attend the 8th grade graduation. Students will take home all belongings on this day.

Thursday is FIELD DAY!!! Reminder that school is released at 2:00 on Thursday.

Below is the information about summer reading. I will post the book review link on my main blog page for easy access. Students will also be given a math facts packet from their math teacher to complete over the summer.

Summer Reading
Your child will be required to read a minimum of 1 book of their choice over the summer and fill out a brief book review.  We ask that you help your child pick an appropriate book that is not too easy nor too difficult.  We hope that your children will read more than 1 book and review all the books they read.  We also hope that parents will review the books being reading.  In the fall we will publish our very own "Oasis Good Reads" book review on the school website.
