My name is April Luyt (pronounced ‘Late’) and I am very excited to be teaching third grade at Oasis Academy this year! It’s going to be a fun year full of learning and adventure. I look forward to getting to know your child, but first let me tell you a little about myself.
I grew up in Washington state but have lived in Idaho, Oregon, Arizona, Texas, and now Nevada. This will be my third year teaching. I previously taught first grade at a charter school in Peoria, Arizona. We moved to Fallon in 2017, and we are really enjoying the community here. My husband and I have three boys: Kian and Brahm are twins and will start eighth grade at Oasis, and Landon will be in sixth grade this year. We also have an English Bulldog named Lulu who brings a lot of laughs and entertainment in our lives.
