Writing: We continue to practice our typing. After testing, we wrote a paragraph of the day on Wednesday and Thursday. These are short writing assignments that helps practice the different types of papers we have learned over the year. Next week, we will continue writing a paragraph of the day.
Reading: Last week after testing, students reviewed main idea and the author's point of view. Next week, students will have a scholastic assignment while I reassess their final reading levels for the year. Students will also receive their final spelling lists of high-frequency spelling words. The final spelling test will be on 5/31/18.
Grammar: For the rest of the year, we will be reviewing all of the concepts we have learned this year. I will be reassessing any student that received a 1 or 2 on previous assessments. Students will also be practicing their poems for the Poetry Slam.
Projects: Last week we continued making products. Next week, we will finish up making products for our Market Day, and begin making poster boards for the businesses.
Homework: Read for 20 minutes a day. Study spelling lists for test on 5/31/18.
